Dr. Abby Hasberry

"I work with BIPOC and female founders who are building organizations that matter, often with less funding, less support, and more scrutiny than their peers. I bring strategy, identity work, and deep listening to the table. You bring the vision."

Dr. Abby Hasberry

Coaching grounded in psychology, not performance theater

01

She Coaches the Underrepresented

Abby primarily works with BIPOC founders and female founders, people who are building in a system that was not designed for them. That context is not incidental. It shapes the work.

02

100+ Founders Coached

School founders, nonprofit leaders, and social justice organization founders from across the country, in charter schools, nonprofits, for-profits, and community-based organizations.

03

Industrial/Organizational Psychology

An M.S. in I/O Psychology with specialization in evidence-based coaching, so the approach is grounded in research on what actually helps organizations and leaders grow.

04

Identity Is Always in the Room

As a Black woman, transracial adoptee, and founder herself, Abby understands the specific pressure of leading while navigating race, gender, and identity in professional spaces.

What to Expect

Coaching with Dr. Hasberry follows a relational model not a template. You can expect deep listening, honest reflection, and a process that builds on what's already strong in you.

01
Reflect

A deep dive into where you are your strengths, limitations, patterns, and the story you're telling yourself about what's possible.

02
Release

Letting go of what's out of your control, shedding frameworks that don't fit, and creating space for something different to emerge.

03
Reinvent

Building a clear path toward purpose with goals, accountability structures, and a vision of the life and leadership you actually want.

04
Sustain

Ongoing support, recalibration, and the work between sessions because growth isn't a one-time event and neither is this coaching relationship.

What does an executive leadership coach do? +
I primarily coach BIPOC and female founders of early-stage startups and social justice nonprofits. I help founders develop their vision, build their organizations, and show up as themselves while doing it, with strategy, accountability, identity development, and a network of support behind them.
What is your coaching style? +
I meet my clients where they are. I believe in building on my clients' strengths and supporting their growth areas by enhancing their confidence, knowledge base, and network. The hour I spend with my clients is their hour, and they decide on the agenda. I also emphasize the absolute necessity of a healthy work/life balance and organizational culture. My coaching is tailored to each client, allowing them to bring their authentic selves to the table.
What do you mean by "Identity Development"? +
Showing up as your "authentic self" is based on understanding who you are, what your core values are, and how who you are and what you believe align with what you are doing on a regular basis. Through identity development coaching Abby will help you identify your intersecting identities, your core values, your passions and your bottom line. You will learn to analyze how your identity aligns with the work you do and the life you live. You will walk away with a greater understanding of who you are and the ability to show up as your authentic self in work and personal relationships.
How do you approach Work/Life Balance? +
What are your priorities in life and how do you spend the majority of your time? This is the first question you will consider when working with Abby. During coaching sessions you will determine your priorities, do a deep dive into your schedule and use of calendars, determine your passions, and make thoughtful and informed choices about your life, your work and your time.
Why should I choose you? +
I am really good at deeply understanding my clients' passions and listening to the things that are not said. I am able to hear the needs in them as leaders, founders, and individuals. I pride myself at being able to actively listen and then partner in strategizing a plan. I am also my clients' biggest cheerleader and problem solver all at once. I am an introvert and thus naturally connect very deeply with my clients from the beginning. I look forward to working with you!
What about group sessions? +
Throughout the year, Abby will offer affordable workshops and group sessions based on specific coaching goals. Working in a group setting helps build your network and provides additional thought partnering and learning experiences.
